The Issue

Prior to 2004 Sindhi Sangat website was based on static HTML. In 2004 it went through a major change being converted to dynamic database driven CMS like website. From 2004-2005 the page rank had dropped to PR 1 from PR 4. It was not Search Engine Friendly and had improper navigational flow. Links to various information on the site was not logical. Client had no clue of the visitor statistics, nor did they get to know what people are looking for, the keywords that drive traffic to the website and how they could improve upon the performance and reach globally. From static to dynamic, Google search results now gave 404 Error not found pages. Hence, slowly Google has started removing their site from the index. Guestbook was flooded with spam entries. Their product “Lets Learn Sindhi” CD ROM was not even listed on first 3 pages of Google. Further, their database size made the website extremely slow. Graphics used on front page were itself 400KB overall.
